Name Tags

We also design and manufacture custom name tags for your staff. Unlike badges that are meant to be mass produced, each name tag is a unique piece containing a specific person's name. Companies whose employees wear name tags are perceived by the public as more friendly, helpful and professional - and employees themselves say their name badges help promote a sense of pride and improve customer care.

Customizing Your Pins, Badges and Name Tags

1. Choosing the Shape and Dimensions of your Item

The standard shapes of those items are either circular or rectangular, however we can customize them according to the design you want.

2. Choosing the Item Finishing

Plating

Electroplating is a process whereby a very thin layer of a metal is transferred chemically to cover the surface of another metal. For example a gold-plated item has a very fine coat (only a few microns) of 24K gold. Because gold resists oxidization gold-plating will also protect your item. Adding metal plating such as silver or gold makes your item look more valuable and attractive. You may choose among the following plating options: None, Nickel, Silver or Gold.

Patina

Patina is a procedure used to discolor a metal by oxidation. For example Antique patina is used to artificially "age" a silver-plated or silver metal. Antiquating metals prevents tarnishing.

Patina Options:

  • None
  • Bronze (only if your item is made of brass and has no plating)
  • Antique (only if your item is made is silver-plated)

Applying Epoxy

Although our pins, badges and name tags are lacquered by default, epoxy (a thick, hard and clear layer) can also be applied on the surface of those items to further protect their finish from humidity and oxidization. Most pins and badges have epoxy on their surface.

3. Coloring the Item

You can choose to color-fill the engraved part of your pin, badge or name tag. Color-filling is done manually and the color goes all the way through, so it cannot wear off.

4. Choosing the Hanging Method of Your Item

Your item could be hung using a safety pin, a brooch pin or a magnet.
